More About Me
With over three decades of dedicated service in the U.S. Army and U.S. Intelligence Community, I have held multiple sensitive roles within the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Throughout my career, I have served as a Diplomat and Military Attaché representing the Department of Defense to our valued allies and partners. I have also operated as a strategic human intelligence officer in various classified assignments, leading teams in both combat and peacetime environments while conducting special activities on behalf of the Department of Defense and the nation.
As a graduate of the National Intelligence University, I hold a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence with a concentration in Denial and Deception Advanced Studies. Sponsored by the National Intelligence Council, this program has equipped me with extensive experience in deception activities, making me a subject matter expert in Information Warfare, Deception Operations, Counter-Deception Operations, Covert Influence and Action, Human Intelligence, Counterintelligence, and other clandestine activities spanning tactical to strategic levels.
During my tenure with the DIA, I had the privilege of commanding the Human Intelligence Training – Joint Center of Excellence (HTJCOE) for nearly five years. In this role, I spearheaded the development of new and innovative human intelligence training, addressing future challenges and mitigating threats associated with worldwide surveillance capabilities and Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS). Additionally, I led the establishment of the first foreign training program within the Department of Defense, focusing on human intelligence activities with partner nations. This initiative successfully executed training activities with dozens of partner nations globally, fostering partner capacity, interoperability, and trust between the U.S. Intelligence Community and partner national and military intelligence organizations.
As I embarked on my own transition from military to civilian life, I recognized the need for better preparation of service members for new career fields. To bridge this gap, I sought the guidance of a personal coach who played a vital role in navigating this challenging transition. The experience of receiving life coaching proved immensely valuable, prompting me to pursue certification as a professional life coach. I am now a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC), a renowned coaching certification program. I hold certifications in COR.E Dynamics™ Transition, Performance, and Leadership. Additionally, I am an Energy Leadership Index – Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) and an IPEC Coaching Ambassador.
